Charissa Zou President |
Charissa is a junior CS and AMS double major (even though she dislikes math). She has been practicing Chinese dance ever since she was in elementary school, and really appreciates the hidden effort and skill behind all the stunning performances. One of her favorite parts about Lan Yun is the promise of everyone being on stage at the end and the fact that anyone is able to come and learn. In her free time, she enjoys a good boba run and sketching random anime/manga characters.

Sooyeon Park Vice-president |
Sooyeon is a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience and hopefully minoring in History. Her first encounter with Chinese dance was at this club after a successful social at the Social, and her favorite dance was the fan dance where she got to do a solo (the only dance she was taught in complete so far). Her favorite part about Chinese dance is the integration of props from fans to watersleeves to convey the stories of China's indigenous groups and dynasties. She enjoys a good Chipotle meal every Friday -- catch her and she'll pay for your meal! She's also an avid patron of a cat channel on YouTube for too long and is basically addicted. You will also find her at every single social held by Lan Yun!

Heidi Zhang Secretary |
Hi! Heidi is an undergraduate junior majoring in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, and Applied Math. She joined Lanyun in spring 2020, because she loves to dance. She thinks that Chinese dance is not only about the culture, but is also about its elegancy, beauty, and artistry, and is worth being seen. And she enjoys practicing with everyone else in the club! Fun fact, she dressed up her cat as a vampire for Halloween this year : )

Melody Lei Treasurer |
Melody is sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering. She has not had any training in Chinese dance, but joined Lan Yun because she loved meeting the members. Although, she does not actively dance with the group, she still hangs around to stretch and bring chaos to practice. She should probably stretch more, however, because she can still barely reach her toes without at least 10 joints cracking. Fun fact, she is making Mediterranean shrimp in that picture and Soo said it was pretty good.
